Diabetes increases the risk of heart disease and stroke and can lead to other serious complications, such as kidney failure, blindness, and amputation of a toe, foot, or leg. Another 84 million US adults have pre-diabetes, a serious health condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal, already lost more than 50% of pancreas function has been lost. A person with pre-diabetes is at high risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.

A migraine is usually an intense pounding headache that can last for hours or even days. The pounding or pulsing pain usually begins in the forehead, the side of the head, or around the eyes. The headache gradually gets worse. Just about any movement, activity, bright light, or loud noise seems to make it hurt more. Nausea and vomiting may occur during a migraine.
